Block management
If you manage an estate, we can carry out the fire risk assessments on your behalf and give you a simple way to track the remedial work across every building.

Managing the remedials
We use an app developed to suit our clients' needs. It produces clear, concise reports, and every action comes with photographs to explain the work required.
For larger estates, we can give you access to the system so you can manage remedials by group, site or type.
What the Fire Safety Act changed
The Fire Safety Order applies to all non-domestic premises in England and Wales, including the common parts of multi-occupied residential buildings. The Fire Safety Act 2021 made clear that, where a building contains two or more homes, the order also covers:
- the building's structure and external walls, including windows, balconies, cladding, insulation and fixings, and any common parts
- all doors between homes and common parts, such as flat entrance doors
If you contract out your assessments, make sure they include these elements. As responsible person, you remain liable for compliance and any remediation. See fire safety law explained for the full picture.
Questions we're often asked
Who is the responsible person in a block of flats?
Usually the freeholder, management company or managing agent, depending on local arrangements.
Will the assessment meet the latest standards?
Yes. The Fire Safety Act 2021, in force since 16 May 2022, clarified that assessments of buildings with two or more homes must cover the structure, external walls (including windows, balconies and cladding) and all doors between flats and the common parts. Our assessments include all of these.
Why does assessor competence matter?
Our assessors are members of the Institute of Fire Safety Managers with Tier 2 competence on the Competent Fire Risk Assessor Register. That means audited assessments, passed exams and ongoing professional development.
